Galactic 2e

Galactic 2e

There's like a billion jokes i could make here, just fill them in yourself

Genre: Sci-Fi

Touchstones: Star Wars

What is this game?: Galactic 2e is a game about playing larger than life galactic heroes

Page break

How's the gameplay?: Characters accumulate Tokens by playing into their trope negatively, this could be saying a catchphrase, messing up your interests due to your character flaws, or doing something that's morally dubious, while they spend tokens to use their skills to advance the plot positively. Additionally, each player takes over a "Pillar", an aspect of the world that they have full control over

What's the setting (If any) like?: The setting is "Vaguely Star Wars", a sci-fi world where things are also a little bit magical

What's the tone?: The galaxy is controlled by an empire, and you're (presumably) working to take it down! It's a rebellious romp

Session length: Sessions tend to peter out in shorter lengths, around 2 hours

Number of Players: 4 players is my recommendation

Malleability: As long as your setting has space and magic, it should work!

Resources: There's a group sheet linked here

I was originally gonna write about this game's Expansion/Spin-off, Going Rogue, but then realized i uh. hadn't talked about the game itself proper, so here it is!
